The BIPOC Spiritual Retreat will bring together leaders of color who are engaged in racial justice and reconciliation work in Christian ministry for a time of rest and reflection. This is an opportunity to connect with one another, to learn from one of the leading voices in this space, and to find spiritual and emotional care.

The registration fee covers two nights stay and six meals at The Carmelite Spiritual Center (8419 Bailey Road · Darien, Illinois). There is an option to register for a double occupancy room, single occupancy room, or commuter registration with no lodging. The National Association of Evangelicals can provide a discount codes should the cost be an obstacle for any leader desiring to attend. Participants will need to cover their transportation fees.

Retreat Speaker

Dr. Christina Edmondson is committed to bringing people together to promote personal and team flourishing.  A Certified Cultural Intelligence facilitator, public speaker, and mental health therapist, Edmondson is often contacted by churches to consult about leadership development, anti-racism, and mental health issues. Edmondson holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Tennessee State University, a MS degree from the University of Rochester in Family Therapy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Hampton University.
