The NAE formed the Evangelical Chaplains Commission in 1944 to support and endorse evangelicals as chaplains in the military and civilian capacities. The Evangelical Chaplains Commission is thriving, and we continue to support their ministries and to advocate for the religious freedom of service members and chaplains.
