We want churches to be filled with people who understand and love God’s Word. Unfortunately, many try to read through the Bible and lose momentum. To help you equip your church to fall in love with God’s Word, the NAE and The Bible Recap partnered together to offer a helpful resource.

The Bible Reading Guide is a checklist of daily Scriptures (more details about the schedule below) that coincides with an 8-minute, daily podcast. The Bible Recap podcast (TheBibleRecap.com) summarizes and explains each day’s reading, and is created to empower and encourage readers every day!

The 2021 guide offers:

  • Daily readings in chronological order;
  • Compact design to fit inside even the smallest Bibles; and
  • Packages of 50, 250 or 500 copies, discounted accordingly.

Details About the Reading Plan

Like the 2020 guide, the chronological reading schedule for the 2021 guide was created by Blue Letter Bible. It is a different reading schedule than years prior to 2020. We encourage you to review the schedule by viewing the guide preview. You may also follow along with the daily readings by signing up for this reading plan in YouVersion.

This chronological plan is compiled according to the order in which recorded events occurred and will help you add historical context to your reading of the Bible. In many cases, the guide alternates between books of the Bible to consistently reflect that order. For example, Matthew 12, Mark 3 and Luke 6 are included on the same day’s reading as they record the same events told by different authors.

It is also important to note that in the 2021 guide the Psalms are not on Sundays, as in some past NAE guides. Instead, they are included throughout I and II Samuel, I and II Kings, and a few other Scripture readings, as appropriate.
