Criminal Justice Reform

Jesus said that those who do not care for the imprisoned demonstrate by such lack of action that they are not his followers (Matthew 25:31–46). Many evangelicals are involved in transformative ministry with prisoners and crime survivors. We believe our criminal justice system should provide for meaningful participation of crime survivors, fair and proportional punishment of offenders, protection of prisoners’ safety and dignity, rehabilitation of offenders and help with reintegration.
