We’ve all seen images and videos of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton after they tore through areas of the southeast. We are deeply grieved for the lives lost and for all who have been impacted by the storms. NAE President Walter Kim is joined by representatives of a few NAE member organizations for an on-the-ground report.

Ethan Forhetz, vice president of public engagement at Convoy of Hope, shares an update from Sarasota, Florida, an area that was hit by both hurricanes. He talks about the ongoing recovery efforts and how local churches are partnering with Convoy of Hope to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

You’ll also hear from Captain Maxie DeBlanc, an emotional and spiritual care officer with The Salvation Army, who has been visiting Salvation Army feeding sites and ministering with disaster survivors. Both share specific ways that Christians can be praying for the physical and emotional needs.
