In 1944, the NAE founded the War Relief Commission (now World Relief) in response to the World War II refugee crisis. As the NAE’s relief and development arm, World Relief is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NAE. Our goal in creating resources and engaging in humanitarian relief and development is to create lasting change in communities all over our world. We support both public and private investment in life-saving international poverty-focused assistance.
