Whereas, by legislative enactment the State of Ohio has required the State Board of Education to prescribe and compel obedience to certain minimum requirements of all elementary schools in the state, both public and private, and

Whereas, there regulations allow no place in the curriculum, as outlined in detail, for religious instruction, although in Christian private schools no tax funds are used,

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the NAE express it’s conviction that this requirement tends to rob private schools of private local control, and parents of their inherent right to give their children a Christian education and, therefore, urge the Ohio State Board of Education to correct this manifest injustice.
