The National Association of Evangelicals is the corporate expression of many denominations, churches organizations and individuals of their oneness in Christ. This corporate expression is not intended to be static, but active evangelicals finding ways to work and pray together in every community in America.

We believe that local evangelical associations provide one of the most effective ways for NAE to, fulfill its function of promoting cooperative evangelical action.

Therefore, we resolve that the establishing of local associations should be regarded as a ministry of high importance for evangelicals and that we should pursue all means at our disposal to encourage this activity.

In the furtherance of this resolution, we urge the establishing of state or area associations in every part of the country. Their function will be seen as an extension of the NAE Board of Administration by providing state or area leadership to help bring evangelicals into meaningful working relationships.

Furthermore, we resolve that special emphasis should be given to the local association function at our national and state conventions and through our publications.
